World of Tents is a company with a heart for tents. It is the parent company of several tent brands, including Alpino, Canopy, Autentic and Alpinter. World of Tents and its brands are headquartered in Renaix and employs about 40 people.

World of Tents is looking for somebody willing to perform an internship or summer stage of at least 6 weeks, preferably with a background and/or interest in textiles.
Period: between 1/6/2022 and 30/10/2022

INTERNAL LAB

We have an internal lab at our HQ, in which various tests are performed.
In this job, you will:

• Assist the QC for the daily operations of the internal lab.
• Support different teams (R&D, Sourcing, Quality) by:
  • Plan and execute the testing of tents and other products within the agreed timeframes,
  • Recording and reporting results: ensure that all reports and logbooks are accurate and correct,
  • Communicate and analyse results of tests to the stakeholders,
  • Assist in analysing results together with the QC Supervisor and other stakeholders (trend- and risk-analysis),
  • Coordinate with external 3^rd party-labs/partners for lab-related issues/ communication…
• Assist the QCS in developing system of data-recording.
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain test and sampling materials
• Complaint Handling towards suppliers

WAREHOUSE INCOMING GOODS QC
We have various warehouses in Ronse, closeby our HQ. You will take care of:

• Control of incoming goods and samples:
  • Assist and execute the quality-control, of incoming goods and samples;
  • Set up tents (and other products) on the test site and in the lab for quality control;
  • Recording and reporting results to QC Supervisor.

• Ability to think analytically and problem solving,
• You work process-oriented and with precision,
• Hands-on / Practical attitude,
• Good communication skills,
• Self-motivated, able to work independently,
• Eager to learn, positive curiosity,
• Driver’s license B
