Quality Control Officer - World of Tents
Within the dynamic World Of Tents’ organization, focused development of new products and solutions for international customers is key. The Quality Control Officer plays a central role in ensuring WOT’s quality standards regarding our systems, customers, suppliers, products and processes.
About the job
The Quality Control Officer reports to the Quality Manager. He/She has the following responsibilities
System Quality
- Assist in the implementation and certification of Quality Management Systems by creating spec’s, procedures, testing methods,…
- Coordinate the quality processes through the ISO 9000 Certification
- After training, acting as the internal auditor for ISO certification
Customer Quality
- Monitor customer quality and comply to customer requirement from different point of views (product, supply,…)
- Handle customer complaints by elaborating, implementing and documenting an action plan. Communicate and follow up with the considered internal department. The QHSE Manager is responsible for the external communication to customers.
Supplier Quality
- Ensure the necessary quality analyses and audits on incoming goods and preanalyze reports coming from suppliers.
- Responsible of complaint management by developing and ensuring an administrative following up on notes of complaint to suppliers
Product Quality
- Set out the quality control process of the raw materials and final product to be executed by the technical officer.
- Determine the final specifications and develop the requirements based on customer demands.
Support different teams (R&D, Sourcing, Quality) by:- Planning and executing the testing of tents, field cots and other group related products
- Recording, analysing, and reporting results if needed in collaboration with the QHSE Manager and other stakeholders (trend- and risk-analysis)
- Communicating test results to the stakeholders
- Coordinate with external 3rd party-labs/partners for lab-related issues/ communication…
Process Quality
- Develop and audit standard operating procedures and production processes control.
- Evaluate business processes to optimize sustainability efforts and set up sustainability goals together with the QHSE Manager to maximize operational eco-efficient performance.
Profile
- Degree in Textile, Textile Technology or other related studies
- Knowledge of Quality Control
- Good knowledge of English is a must, French and/or Dutch highly recommended.
- Good skills in MS Office.
- Textile background is considered as a plus, or equal through experience.
- Well-structured and good reporting and analysing skills
